In October, 2017, the Methodist Hospital identified a cancer patient in need of a clinical trial and asked the Ray Walsh Foundation to assist with medical bills. We were happy to help and hope the clinical trial works!
In August, 2017, the Ray Walsh Foundation made a donation to a single mother of 4 fighting cancer in Houston. This particular family was recommended by social workers at Houston Methodist Hospital.
In April, 2017, the Ray Walsh Foundation made a $20,000 donation to Houston Methodist Hospital to continue the research the doctors are conducting relating to blood cancers.
In October 2016, the Ray Walsh Foundation donated funds to help a mother of two pay for some of her cancer treatment.
In May 2016, the Ray Walsh Foundation donated $23,000 to The Methodist Hospital to continue funding the Ray Walsh Research fund, a fund dedicated to funding research and clinical trials for blood cancers.
In February 2016,the Ray Walsh Foundation made a donation to help with medical bills for a 3 year old boy battling cancer.
On May 12, 2015, the Ray Walsh Foundation provided financial support to a father of two who is battling leukemia and needed assistance with medical bills.
In April, 2015, the Ray Walsh Foundation donated $20,000 to the Ray Walsh Research Fund at The Methodist Hospital to continue funding promising clinical trials.
On March 14, 2014, the Ray Walsh Foundation donated $25,000 to Methodist Houston's cancer program to continue funding clinical trials focuses on lymphoma patients.
In December 2014, the Ray Walsh Foundation donated toys to cancer-stricken children spending their holidays in the hospital.
On April 16, 2013, the Ray Walsh Foundation again donated $23,000 to the Ray Walsh Research fund at The Methodist Hospital which is being used to fund clinical trials.
On May 15, 2013, the Ray Walsh Foundation made a donation to the family of a child battling leukemia to assist with her medical bills.
On December 15, 2012, the Ray Walsh Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an 8 year old girl battling liver cancer. Families battling cancer are faced with the physical and emotional effects of cancer, but the financial strain also burdens the family. The Ray Walsh Foundation is proud to provide assistance with medical bills and transportation costs to alleviate some of the financial concerns and allow the families to focus on beating the disease.
On April 15, 2011, Ray Walsh Foundation made its largest single donation of $23,500 to the Ray Walsh Research fund at The Methodist Hospital to help doctors continue their research on finding new therapies for blood cancers.
On May 4, 2010, the Ray Walsh Foundation presented $20,000 to The Methodist Hospital to continue the work its research doctors are conducting in the field of lymphoma. The clinical trials are showing great promise, and the Ray Walsh Foundation is honored to be a small part of the progress the dedicated team of doctors have made.
On April 29, 2009, the Ray Walsh Foundation made its largest single donation of $23,000 to support the Ray Walsh Research Fund established at The Methodist Hospital. The research fund that was named in Ray's honor was established to help fund new and innovative research by doctors at The Methodist Hospital, Baylor Hospital and Texas Children's Hospital. Current research is underway to determine the synergetic effect of two previously FDA approved drugs used to treat blood cancer. The study is now open for Lymphoma patients who have suffered relapse and are unable to continue traditional chemotherapy treatment.

For Christmas 2005, 2009 and 2010 the Ray Walsh Foundation adopted families where one member was currently battling cancer. The Foundation was able to help the family by supplying toys, clothes and groceries for Christmas, so the family could spend the money on medical bills.
For Christmas 2006, Ray Walsh Foundation donated hundreds of dollars worth of toys to low income cancer children being treated at Ben Taub Hospital.
For Christmas 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, Ray Walsh Foundation donated toys to cancer-stricken children being treated at Texas Children's Hospital. We believe that in addition to helping to fund research for a cure for cancer, we can also help individuals impacted by the disease. Since Ray had such a love for children and the needy, we know he would be happy to see some of the money going to help sick children and their families!
